Mike comes on the show as a regular and teaches all of us how to step up our drink making game. He tends bar at Butcher in the Rye, and Meat and Potatoes. He has recently won various drink making contests including one for his Manhattan, and is also a finalist in the Woodford Reserve Cocktail Competition in 2015! Wish him luck! Wanted to have him over before the holidays to feature some different drinks other than Egg Nog. He took over my kitchen on this one, and grabbed random ingredients that I almost always have on hand. It really helped out to be able to make a fantastic drink direct from what I have in my house.

2oz Cognac
.75oz lime juice
.25 oz simple syrup infused with Rosemary
10-12 Pomegranate seeds
2-3 slices of ginger
Muddle Pomegranate seeds and ginger slices well.
Add liquids and shake. Strain, and serve with fresh rosemary on top
HOT TODDY
1.5 oz bourbon
.75 oz Grand Marnier Raspberry Peach (Substitutions include- Benedictine, Yellow Chartreuse)
1/2oz honey
1/2oz lemon
2-3oz Brewed tea (We used my mix with Eucaliptus, Lavender flowers, Tulsi, and chamomile.)
Brew tea strongly, Heat all ingredients in a pan (Do Not BOIL), add lemon lastly. Serve hot in a mug.
