The moment I met Byron Nash “Nasty Nash” behind the bar at the Harris Grill, I was a bit intimidated. He has this appearance of being completely (at least for me) unreachable to speak with, let alone ask to do a podcast. I was shocked, however, when he turned out to be the nicest, and most easiest person to talk with that I have had on the show. He came over with his video crew man Tim (who was great and inspired me to have a podcast lamp named “Timothy”), and we just chilled out chatting about his work, his history as a musician, what kind of music inspires him. His answers were really fun and surprising to hear. (He was recently rocking out to the sound of Bette Midler) This was one of my most fun recordings, because he is extremely easy to talk to, is extremely soulful, and really has a sense of what he wants to convey through his work. Growing up in a musical family, I love seeing someone that talks so passionately about what they do. He truly just feels the music, unashamed and free. He plays some of his music in this session, and it is beautiful. Byron is currently in the band Formula412, and also has his solo work that he is promoting. Check out his website and see where he is performing around town. You won’t want to miss him. http://byronnash.com
